Hi everyone

Yeeeeeeeehahhhhhhh! Yippppeeeeee!! Whoooohooooooooo! I am a bit excited to say the least. Finally, after weeks and painstaking hours of work, learning how to use more of WordPress.org’s tools, namely widgets and plugins, I have launched my all singing, all dancing, newly designed beatredundancyblues.com site. I was thrilled that my web host technician said it looks amazing, and I probably know more than him about using WordPress.org to design my site. Please check it out and tell me what you think.

When is it good not to think?

Hi everyone

I have so much to tell you.

I am back from my trip to the Success Seminar in London. While I was up there, I also visited London Zoo, I saw the film Anomaly and I went to the Digital Revolution Exhibition, that blew my mind.

On the day I came back, I had 4 hours sleep, then taught the Introduction to blogging course. I took so many photos and that much video footage of the Digital Revolution Exhibition, that my phone stopped working and I couldn’t call or do anything with my phone, until I got it fixed in the EE shop after teaching on Monday 7th.

On Tuesday 8th, I had an admin day. I also cleaned, tidied and cleared out some bottles of stuff from underneath my kitchen sink.

I have been working in my day job every day since, and trying to catch up with social media, emails and blogging.

As you know, I am a deep thinker and my brain never stops thinking. Sometimes it’s good not to think. I have so much to do that if I sat down and did the sensible thing of writing everything down that I have to, it would overwhelm me. Yes, I make written lists of things to do and set myself tasks and goals each day, but if I become too rigid and ‘work-like’ with everything I have to do, it doesn’t feel good. Instead of enjoying what I do, the opposite happens and I become unproductive. Yes, I have an overview of what must be done, but I have to do it the quirky way. If I schedule too much, it becomes a chore and that shows. Does that happen to you?

Things I need to do:

I have to create a new website for http://www.beatredundancyblues.com as my web host no longer services RV Sitebuilder that I used to build it. I have been unable to access my admin panel for at least a couple of months and now I can get into it, I can’t make any amendments due to constant Java script errors. This site is currently more popular than my http:// http://www.beatredundancyblues.co.uk site that is built using WordPress. I have no choice but to change it.

After making a few amendments to my Break through the barriers of redundancy book, I need to re-index and paginate it, within the interior CreateSpace template.

After being asked by businesses about training staff in blogging, I thought it best to set up a website to build a professional brand for my blog training. I have bought the domain name http://www.BlogTrainer.co.uk and have yet to build the site. I have a new @blogtrainerUK Twitter account and now need to grow my followers. Thanks to those of you who have already joined me on that account.

I haven’t forgotten that I still have blog awards to officially accept in future posts. Thanks to all of you who have given me awards. I very much appreciate them.

I managed to track down my English teacher from college. She edits manuscripts. I sent her a copy of my Break through the barriers of redundancy book manuscript so she could give it a quick scan. Her feedback was encouraging. She said it’s interesting, well thought out and there are not many books like it on the market. I was thrilled with those comments. As she is very critical, I know it must be a good book.

Because my Break through the barriers of redundancy book advertises my http://www.beatredundancyblues.com site on the front cover, updating that site, must be a priority.

I have to not think too much and just get on with it.

Today is a lovely day

I can get discount cinema tickets to Vue cinemas through work. They can’t be used on 3D movies or in certain cinema venues.

Grab a little Sunshine and Shine On!

Hi everyone

I am still wading through the wonderful amount of awards I have been fortunate enough to receive.

When I look back at photos of when I was a little girl, my hair appeared to be almost white in colour.

Sunshine and Versatile Blog Awards

Well, it isn’t Snuggles this time, but me, that has been a naughty little girl.

Fortunately I have received a number of blog awards in the last week but unfortunately I haven’t made my nominations for other blog awards I received a long time ago.

Blogging as an aid to recovery – How has it helped you?

Hi everyone

I published this post recently but it would seem that it has posted in the month that I first started to write it in draft form. This may have caused you to miss it in your reader and so here it is again.

( A huge thanks to Ralph, from bluefish way.com who left a comment on the original post. It will be a huge help to my learners.)

It’s official, amongst everything else I do, I am a Tutor for the RLC (Recovery Learning Community).

I will be teaching my first course, “Blogging as an aid to recovery” on the 18th and 25th of November and 2nd of December.

The RLC provides a range of educational, practical and creative courses, for students with mental health difficulties and their family and friends who support them.

I will be teaching students how to start a WordPress.com blog of their own, that they can continue to use after the course has finished.

I will be teaching students how blogging can make them to feel better and improve their quality of life through:

Building online relationships and friendships.
Communicating with like-minded people.
Improving communication skills.
Building confidence and self-esteem.
Giving them something to focus on.
Giving them a sense of purpose and a reason to get up in the morning.

Plus loads more fantastic reasons.

Hi Everyone

I am mega busy at the moment creating my beatredundancyblues.co.uk website, it will be very similar to beatredundancyblues.com with all of your favourite information pages but with a blog added for much more interaction with you. This way you can let me know what you like and what you don’t and what other help and support you need in your quest to find employment.

I realise not all of you will have been made redundant but when it’s officially launched and no longer under construction, I would still appreciate your feedback on the content.

My web host who hosts beatredundancyblues.com has decided to stop people from using RVSiteBuilder to build any new website by removing it from their system. As my site is built using this, I now have to get access to my site admin panel through a link. I was informed that eventually the RVSiteBuilder will be dis-continued completely. beatredundancyblues.co.uk was due to be launched at the end of this year but in light of this new challenge, I am creating it now and transferring it’s valuable information over to beatredundancyblues.co.uk. I have to do this manually and re-format it before adding it to the new WordPress.Org site for beatredundancyblues.co.uk

I have to say that using WordPress.org compared to the .com version has been far more challenging than I thought it would be. What experience have you had with the .org version compared to the .com? Have you got any advice or hints and tips on how to get the best out of using the .org version?

Officially Part Of – The WordPress Family – Award

Hi Everyone

I got back from The Business Show in London, in the early hours of Saturday the 8th of June.

Whilst I was there, I attended lots of seminars and workshops and learned a lot about marketing and business trends. I saw Levi Roots, Doug Richards, James Caan and many other successful business people and authors. I also won a copy of Brad Burton’s book – Get Off Your Ass Too.
