It’s Official – I am the UK Blog Trainer

Hi everyone
image

Today is the official launch of my new blog trainer business and my new http;//www.blogtrainer.co.uk site.

Teaching Blogging as an aid to recovery – How to start a WordPress.com blog, has been successful, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching it so much, that I now offer to teach blogging as a business.

I have been blogging for 4 years this year, and like a lot of you, I can’t get enough of it. I am still learning and evolving as a blogger and I always will be.

Including this blog, I currently have 4 blogs that I blog to as frequently as possible. Although this blog is always my priority because it’s my first love, I value your loyalty and like to give back to you.

I provide inspirational blog posts at http://www.beatredundancyblues.wordpress.com

I blog to give help, advice and inspiration, to people who have been made redundant on my http://www.beatredundancyblues.co.uk site.

I blog about events I have been to, about my interests, passions and businesses at http://www.sandrabellamy.co.uk

Two of my blogs are WordPress.com blogs, the others are self hosted WordPress.org blogs, so I can teach both, but the person I am teaching, would need their own WordPress.org site to do so. I can also create WordPress.org sites, using templates, widgets and plugins.

If I can take a business on a deep and meaningful journey to connect with its customers, I will be filled with joy. If I can help make just one more person’s life so much happier and more rewarding through blogging, I will be ecstatic

If you know of anyone who could benefit from me teaching them, please spread the word. I can teach one-to-one, or as part of a workshop for up to 8 people. As one-to-one teaching is bespoke, prices can vary, they start from £30 an hour, in the Exeter area, in the UK. If they quote this post on this blog, they save 10% off an hour, or on a workshop.

For anyone living outside the UK who wants training via Google Hangouts or Skype, please contact me using email in the first instance.

My business number is 01392 434202 for a free 20 minute consultation, or they can email me at blogtrainer@blogtrainerUK.

Catch me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/blogtrainerUK or Facebook http://www.facebook.com/BlogtrainerUK

Thanks for your continued support. I couldn’t do it without you.

Blogging as an aid to recovery – How has it helped you?

Hi everyone

I published this post recently but it would seem that it has posted in the month that I first started to write it in draft form. This may have caused you to miss it in your reader and so here it is again.

( A huge thanks to Ralph, from bluefish way.com who left a comment on the original post. It will be a huge help to my learners.)

It’s official, amongst everything else I do, I am a Tutor for the RLC (Recovery Learning Community).

I will be teaching my first course, “Blogging as an aid to recovery” on the 18th and 25th of November and 2nd of December.

The RLC provides a range of educational, practical and creative courses, for students with mental health difficulties and their family and friends who support them.

I will be teaching students how to start a WordPress.com blog of their own, that they can continue to use after the course has finished.

I will be teaching students how blogging can make them to feel better and improve their quality of life through:

  • Building online relationships and friendships.
  • Communicating with like-minded people.
  • Improving communication skills.
  • Building confidence and self-esteem.
  • Giving them something to focus on.
  • Giving them a sense of purpose and a reason to get up in the morning.

Plus loads more fantastic reasons.

I would love for my students to know how blogging has aided your recovery. Please leave a message in the comments section so that I can share your story with them.

Thanks in advance.

Stay positive.

beatredundancyblues.co.uk Coming Soon

Hi Everyone

I am mega busy at the moment creating my beatredundancyblues.co.uk website, it will be very similar to beatredundancyblues.com with all of your favourite information pages but with a blog added for much more interaction with you. This way you can let me know what you like and what you don’t and what other help and support you need in your quest to find employment.

I realise not all of you will have been made redundant but when it’s officially launched and no longer under construction, I would still appreciate your feedback on the content.

Watch this space for the official launch of beatredundancyblues.co.uk

My web host who hosts beatredundancyblues.com has decided to stop people from using RVSiteBuilder  to build any new website by removing it from their system. As my site is built using this, I now have to get access to my site admin panel through a link. I was informed that eventually the RVSiteBuilder will be dis-continued completely. beatredundancyblues.co.uk was due to be launched at the end of this year but in light of this new challenge, I am creating it now and transferring it’s valuable information over to beatredundancyblues.co.uk. I have to do this manually and re-format it before adding it to the new WordPress.Org site for beatredundancyblues.co.uk

For those of you who are not familiar with beatredundancyblues.com and what is is about, here is an except from it:

This website is designed to give you easy access to a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills needed to survive redundancy and get back into work. No longer do you have to trawl through website after website trying to find the information you want, you can get it all here at the click of a button.

Make your job search easier by getting instant access to these sites at the click of a button. Find an area that interests you and get right to it.
This website is essential for anyone who is:

  1. Redundant
  2. Unemployed
  3. Changing Career
  4. Job Hunting
  5. Lacking In Direction
  6. Wanting Motivation
  7. Needing Help
  8. Looking For Support

I have to say that using WordPress.org compared to the .com version has been far more challenging than I thought it would be. What experience have you had with the .org version compared to the .com? Have you got any advice or hints and tips on how to get the best out of using the .org version?

To those of you who have given me blog awards recently, I will officially acknowledge them in the future but it will be at a later date that I had originally planned. Thanks in advance, I very much appreciate your support.

On thursday this week, I am going to an awards ceremony by the police to be awarded a Good Citizens Award. I feel honoured and humbled to be getting the award and thought I would let you know.

Creating Fireworks – 2012 In Review

Hi Everyone

I’m pleased and proud to announce that the quirkybooks 2012 annual blog report is now available and I would like to share it with you.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,800 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 7 trips to carry that many people.

Click here to see the complete report.

I am thrilled that I have been nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award for a second time and the Super Sweet Award for the first time – Details and thanks to the people who nominated me will be given soon in a future post.
