Elf The Musical Is A Hit!

Hey everyone

A few weeks ago I went to London for the Business Revolution two-day business seminar. I have yet to post some photos from that. On the 3rd day I had a play day and went to Thorpe Park by myself, and then to see Elf the musical in the evening. My train didn’t leave London until 11.45pm so I was able to see it without worrying about time. I bought the ticket on the day so it was more expensive than I would usually pay, but was well worth every penny. It was one of the best musicals I have seen in my life. Ben Forster (from Jesus Christ Superstar), who played the main character, was sensational and very convincing as Buddy the Elf. His love was played by Kimberly Walsh from Girl Band Girl’s Aloud. I would highly recommend this musical as a must see. After watching this musical you will be under no illusion that Santa really exists, and so does the magic of Christmas.

Shrek’s Adventure Was Shrektastic!

Shrek’s Adventure was Shrektastic! If you live in London or are visiting London, I highly recommend it as an experience you won’t forget. To be brief, you become part of a real life Shrek Adventure and your mission is to find Shrek and get his help, because Rumpelstiltskin’s other half – a bad witch, has died, and he is holding you responsible for it. There is meant to be a bus ride, but it wasn’t working. The special effects were great, the sets, the costumes and the acting, and I would go again one day.

It was the first time I met my friend Josh in person and we got on really well. We are both intelligent and creative and like doing fun stuff, so it was all good.

I still have more reformatting of the line spacing to do, for the printed version of my Break Through The Barriers Of Redundancy To Get Back Into Work – An A-Z ‘How To’ Guide.

I recently bought the domain http://www.breakthroughbarriers.co.uk to go with my book and my book trailer. Plus, I want to help people break through other barriers in their life, through my future products and services. I have yet to build this site.

I also bought http://www.asexualise.com that I have yet to create. It will have products, services and resources for asexuals, and I have just created another YouTube channel to go with it, called Asexualise My Asexual Life, and as previously mentioned, I plan to write asexual books in the future. This channel will be all about my asexual life and will help other asexuals to not feel so alone, and will educate people about what’s it’s like to lead an asexual life.

I will be doing more ‘how to’ and educational videos soon on my http://www.youtube.com/quirkybooks as part of my http://www.quirky-books.com and http://www.quirkyacademy.com offering. Although I will still have some asexual videos on that channel, I want a separate channel for asexuals, so I can use this one to focus more on redundancy/career change and breaking through the many different barriers in life, to achieve your dreams; all the while embracing your quirky, authentic you!

I want to give a huge Shout Out to Ralph from http://bluefishway.com, who is my biggest and most loyal www.youtube.com/quirkybooksTV fan by far – He has Liked (thumbs up) every video I have ever published and already Liked this one before I had chance to post it here. Thank you my friend. His blog is very naughty – but extremely funny at the same time! If you haven’t subscribed yet, then please do. The more support I have, the better.

Until next time, embrace your quirky and each other’s.

Who Wants A Shrek Adventure?

Shrek Adventureland Coming Soon in London

Shreks Adventure

Hi everyone

Shrek’s Adventureland, is coming soon to London. It’s currently due to open in July. I can’t wait to visit. Although I have no planned trips to London again this year, and so it may be next year that I go to this.

Apologies for not getting around around your blogs. I am finding it hard to have time to post my own stuff. Business is booming in more ways than one, and I am currently getting less than 5 hours sleep,  sometimes only 3 or 4 most nights.

On my two days off from my day job this week, one night I forgot to go to sleep! – I worked from 10.30am on Wednesday to 5am Thursday morning. Predominantly doing teaching prep and sourcing and buying ‘commercial’ printer cartridges. That are not readily available. One company gave me the runaround for about 2.5 hours, and in the end I went with another company for next day delivery. After about 5 hours sleep, I worked all of that day on business stuff and washing up/cleaning.

I thankfully have a ‘working’ holiday, coming up soon. From the 5th of June, I will still be teaching on the 8th, but the rest of that week I plan to work on my Break Through The Barriers Of Redundancy book and publish it in e-Book format on Amazon.

Keep embracing your quirky and write soon

Launch Of Quirky-Books.co.uk and Jobseekerpreneur.com

New Quirky Books UK website
New Quirky Books UK website

Yipppeeeeeee! I have finally finished creating and just launched www.quirky-books.co.uk. This is a fun and funky site with a quirky theme! I had a lot of fun creating this site and now I still have to finish packing half of my case for getting up to go to London in less than 3.5 hours. Arrrgghh! I still have clothes to iron – It’s almost 3am and I have to get up at 6am, but first I need to finish this launch, then pack! No rest for the good!

Yesterday, I launched www.quirky-books.com, and I also launched www.jobseekerpreneur.com on the 1st of May – 3 sites in 3 days – That is good going!!!  3 More left to do and finish – I have made a start on them!! Then I will be focusing on my Break through the barriers of redundancy book, publishing it and helping a ton of people get back in to work – That’s my aim.

I am going to the National Achievers Congress on Bank Holiday Monday 4th, in London, that’s why I am going to London this morning. Nick Vijucic (No Arm, No Legs. NO LIMITS) will be the star of the inspirational/entrepreneurial seminar. Registration starts from 7.15am and it’s not due to finish until 8pm – It’s often later. It’s the first Bank Holiday I have had off from my day job in retail, I had to get permission to go from my boss. I wouldn’t want to miss Nick live on stage.

Have you ever had a dream? Something you have always wanted to do, but didn’t? Someone you have always wanted to meet, but it never happened? A lifestyle you always aspire to? A dream job?

Stop what you are doing right now and answer these questions:

Why haven’t you achieved your dream yet?

What is stopping you from achieving your dream?

What are you prepared to sacrifice or give up, to achieve your dream?

How are you going to achieve your dream?

What goals and action plan are you going to put in place, to achieve your dream?

Think about these, and write down your answers to form a framework for how to achieve your dream.

One of my dreams is to be a world renowned author and an inspirational speaker on stage in London, but it’s never going to happen unless I take action. I am taking action to achieve these, as I recently went to London to attend Andy Harrington’s Stand and Deliver, world-class speaker training. Andy is the World’s Leading Public Speaking expert. He has shared the stage with the likes of Anthony Robbins and Donald Trump. www.andyharrington.com

Seize this moment to achieve your dreams.

What dream do you have and what are you doing to help you to achieve it? I would love to read your comments about this!

You may have noticed a similar post from me, on my http://www.beatredundancyblues.wordpress.com blog. I thought this post is relevant to you too.

Major apologies for not getting around to visit many of your blogs recently. At the moment I am working 13 days in a row and have just finished day 3. In case you didn’t know, I now have two employed jobs and I am self-employed. Most nights I am getting 3-4 hours sleep a night, and so I am maxed out with work.

Last week I finished creating my http://www.worldofquirky.com and officially launched it. It took me one day of 12-13 hours and 4 evenings/early mornings to create this one. On the night/through until the early hours before launch, I had less than 2 hours and 20 minutes sleep, before getting up for my day job. It’s not that I don’t think of you and love you, because I do. It it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I know this is true. I love my blogger family and thank you for being a part of my World Of Quirky.

Stay quirky and write soon

Hi everyone

I am off to London tomorrow with my cousin, and staying overnight. Then we are off to Disneyland Paris for 3 days, from the 1st-3rd of October. Staying overnight in London again on the 3rd. We have got a ton of excitement coming our way, and a lot of energy driven things to do. I am extremely excited. It’s the first holiday I have had in 3 years that won’t involve any work.

Therefore, my aim is to be completely work free and I won’t be able to answer your comments or check in with you, until after my holiday.

Bon voyage for now. For the continued journey of your life. I will see you when I get back.

Write, write, and write some more.

How the Digital Revolution Exhibition can Inspire You to write

Hi everyone

If you read my last post, you will know that while I was in London last month, for the Success 2014 Seminar, I went to the Digital Revolution Exhibition.

I have more amazing videos to share with you.

Sometimes you may wonder how my activities relate to writing. Almost everything I do, I can connect to writing in some way. Some directly and others indirectly. I also feel it’s important for any reader to be able to understand what makes a particular writer tick, in order to better understand their writing and their nature.

From my own experience, this is how the Digital Revolution Exhibition, can help inspire you to write.

● Unlimited writing prompts

A good example of this, was seeing the original Altair and Mac designs. These can inspire you to write a drama set in the period they were produced. Alternatively, what’s the story behind those specifically. Why did someone buy each of them? What work is saved on them and why?

● The feeling of magic

The music, the atmosphere, things moving by sensor, touchscreen, special effects, create a feeling of magic. Can inspire you to create fairytales.

●Taking a behind the scenes look at films; Inception, Gravity and How to train your dragon 2.

Helps you to understand how a script can be brought to life.

●Fantasy becoming reality

Seeing things move by themselves and come to life. Such as a lamp like the one in the Pixar shorts, can get your creative juices flowing.

● Not believing your own eyes

Seeing yourself on screen; one minute with smoke coming from your face, the next stage, seeing yourself with wings and birds eating your body. Conjures up stories of illusion and fantasy.

● Future technologies

There is a solar powered dress on display which lights up. Couple that with the information that clothes in our future will be used to charge our mobile phone, makes you think up future Sci-fi adventures.

The Digital Revolution Exhibition, is at the Barbican in London until 14th September 2014.

If you have been wondering why I haven’t been blogging on here quite as much lately, I am currently working on my new design www.beatredundancyblues.com site. As my web host no longer services the site builder I used to build the site on, I have to create a new site using WordPress.org. This has to be done before I finish the final formatting of my Break through the barriers of redundancy book, because I cannot update the site and it is advertised on the front cover of my book. Thankfully, I love designing and creating. To create a new one is hard work and very time consuming, but pleasurable at the same time.

Write as soon as possible
