Sandra Bellamy Author Of Asexual Perspectives Personal Asexuality Journey Story Interview On Freestyle Your Life Podcast

Freestyle Your Life Podcast

I am so happy to have been interviewed on the Freestyle Your Life (FLY) Podcast about my personal asexual journey and about asexuality. In March/April 2014 I discovered I am a heteroromantic asexual. I am attracted to guys romantically not sexually. I don’t get the need, urge, or want, for partnered sexual intercourse. I love kissing especially and cuddling, but not sex. Yes, I had sex in the past because I thought I had to as part of a ‘normal’ relationship, as we are all conditioned to believe since birth. Yes, I did say conditioned, but sex is not for everyone. Love without sex, does exist. One of my asexual friends is getting married to his asexual partner next month and I couldn’t be more happy for them.

If you didn’t already know, I am the Author of this beautifully insightful book about Asexuality, called Asexual Perspectives 47 Asexual Stories, Love, Life and Sex, ACElebration of Asexual Diversity. So if you want to read more about my personal asexual story you can read about it in my book here https://amzn.to/2YEGD2y Or here if you live in the USA https://amzn.to/30nTarT Or worldwide at https://www.sellfy.com/quirkybooks.net or you can order the paperback version from all good book shops around the globe under Quirky Books – yes, that’s my own publishing imprint.

Quote Of The Day By Writer B Banu

When everyone can see, and say – “you can”. And yet you can’t. Then the only person backing out in the picture is “you”  –   B Banu

I love this quote from my Author/Blogger friend B Banu. I still haven’t read her book yet!! I have a more than a few pending but must get around to it. Snow has her vet check-up tomorrow.

Five Fantastic Reasons To Put A Smile On Your Face!

Hi Everyone

Staying positive in this current economic climate can be extremely difficult, especially when the daily news seems to bring nothing but doom and gloom. However, one simple thing could help you on your way to becoming a more positive person.

Smiling, simple but true!

  1. Smiling, puts other people at ease, it lets them know you are approachable.
  2. A smile can break the ice with a stranger and lead to new found friendships.
  3. Your usual tone of voice is lowered whilst on the telephone, smiling on the telephone allows your tone to become higher and sound more welcoming.
  4. Even if you are feeling fed up, depressed and really don’t want to smile, try it, a little bit at a time, you will be surprised how focusing on something else which contradicts your current frame of mind, could actually be a step in helping you to get out of the poor frame of mind you are in.
  5. If someone smiles back at you, it will make you happier and increase your confidence.
Keep smiling.

New site beatredundancyblues.com

Hi everyone.

I have been busy working on my new website beatredundancyblues.com and when it’s finished I hope it will be an invaluable resource for you to use daily.

Redundancy can be one of the most traumatic times in your life but it can also be, as I discovered, one of the most rewarding.  If I hadn’t been made redundant for a second time, during one of the worst economic times, I would not have set up quirkybooks.net or my new redundancy website.  It is through my experience that I have been able to uncover important skills, gain a productive insight into the world of employment and become a more organised and positive person.

To go with the launch of my new Blog beatredundancyblues.wordpress.com you will soon be able to visit its’ invaluable website beatredundancyblues.com

The website will provide:

  • Access to job sites
  • Interview advice
  • Contact details for counselling organisations
  • Help in looking after your personal wellbeing
  • Time management skills
