Well today (24th of April), I get to be 21 again. See I am a huge believer in mindset being the key to success and happiness and that we get to choose:
Our mindset age.
The way we live our life.
Our own happiness.
And ultimately everything that comes from us.
For the past few years I have been getting younger in mindset and last year I decided to be 21 in mindset, and had my 21st mindset birthday in Disneyland Paris! I also had a Toy Story decorated room which made me super excited! I miss that place so much and really wished I could be back there again, it was at one with my soul and I felt totally at peace there. Lights, camera, action, noise – that makes me feel peaceful and incredibly happy, I like being different to everyone else and I enjoy noise and that type of environment. Actually it was very peaceful around the lake when walking back to my hotel on site at night. It was fabulous to be out at night and experiencing the reflection of the lights on the water and being able to walk on my own feeling very safe and happy, and that everyone there was singing from the same hymn sheet and just wanted to enjoy life and be happy and experience the magic, beauty, and wonder of it all.
If you missed my video last year of my highlights, here it is again!
For the previous two years prior to the last – so 2015/2016, I was 23 in mindset age, so I skipped a year, or rather I made a conscious decision to be 23 years for 2 years on the trot. I considered being 22 this year, but for now, I am very happy to stick with my 21st mindset that works so well for me. Oh and yes, in case you were wondering, I mostly get attracted to much younger in birth certificate age guys, in their 20s, and as one of my blogging friends Ralph has found a much younger true love and is going to be married soon, there is hope for me to find my asexual true love, but right now I am happy being single and living life to the max, whatever happens! Oh, and I don’t like marriage for me. I really am keen on my single life right now, just I am super romantic – but as I have been on more self-dates lately and got plenty to do, I am happy!
If you missed my video from Disneyland Paris 2014 trip of the elephant in the Rainforest Cafe, here it is again.
At the moment I am creating my first ever online training course for my all new Quirky Academy. It is called “Ignite Your Happy – How To Ignite The Happiness Within You, To Be Happy, Live Happy, And Feel Happy, Forever”. It is a comprehensive online video training course teaching you how to be happy and to sustain that happiness forever.
I used to suffer with depression for years since being a kid, but finally overcame that in 2012, and now I want to help you and others to be happy, live happy, and feel happy, forever. In the past I would never have been able to see the good in every day, but now I do. I appreciate living and being alive, and I want to live to be at least 100! What people don’t understand, is besides learning how to be happy, through various methods, techniques, and strategies, because happiness is something that can be learnt and not something you are just born with, you have to keep topped up on happiness in order to sustain it and that is what I teach you in my course. Without this, you are likely to go back into depression or feeling blue on a regular basis. Keep your eyes peeled for further details about this course and a fabulous introductory offer in the future. To add to the quote about, “Every day may not be a good day, but there’s something good in every day” – Which is what makes every day good.
Sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan because technology fails. I recorded a YouTube Video about a week ago and haven’t been able to upload it. My IPad had a software update and it no longer recognised when it was plugged into the Mac. The store I bought it from – where I work in my day job, reset my IPad, and all was good – or so I thought, but now I am having problems importing the video to my Mac, and when I tried to share my new 10 sec channel trailer from IMovie – it didn’t arrive in my YouTube Video Manager so I will have to keep on trying.
I am currently working on two books, the Asexual Perspectives book and a brand new one that I haven’t revealed to anyone yet! – Suspense is good, right? Let’s just say it’s an autobiographical How-to, from one specific area of my life! That gives plenty of scope for books in other aras at a later date. My mission is to write a ton of non-fiction books to help others, predominantly using my own experiences, skills, and knowledge, but sometimes, like in my Asexual Perspectives book, I will be interviewing people for it. I have interviewed over 40 asexuals from around the globe for this particular book and it will be told in their own words.
I also created a brand new channel ‘Inspiration Inspired’ it is called, and I have yet to upload the trailer for it, that took me 6 hours to create! I plan to create a motivational/inspirational video for it once a month, so please subscribe in advance to it and show your support, it would mean such a lot! I also plan on creating personal development courses in the future! Link
In order to be successful, you have to first work out:
What success means to you?
What success will do for you?
What you envisage success to look like?
Only when you are able to answer these 3 questions, will you be able to map out your own path to success.
To you, success could mean:
Owning your own home
Being able to put food on the table
Running your own business
Writing your life story
Having a family of your own
Having a good network of friends for support
Working in your dream job
Fulfilling your ambitions
Getting up in the morning pain-free
Being able to create things
Or it could be a combination of all, or some, of the above.
Whilst you are redundant, it is a great time to discover what success means to you, because if you don’t, you will never feel satisfied but feel like there is something missing from your life or that you are a failure.
Knowing what success means to you, is the first step on your path to achieving it.
Don’t waste any more time feeling like a failure but instead put your time and energy into writing a list of what success means to you and then prioritise them in the order of most importance and set goals to achieve each and every one of them. As you do this, you will be growing into your own success and moving along the path to lead a more fulfilling existence and a happier you.
Staying positive in this current economic climate can be extremely difficult, especially when the daily news seems to bring nothing but doom and gloom. However, one simple thing could help you on your way to becoming a more positive person.
Smiling, simple but true!
Smiling, puts other people at ease, it lets them know you are approachable.
A smile can break the ice with a stranger and lead to new found friendships.
Your usual tone of voice is lowered whilst on the telephone, smiling on the telephone allows your tone to become higher and sound more welcoming.
Even if you are feeling fed up, depressed and really don’t want to smile, try it, a little bit at a time, you will be surprised how focusing on something else which contradicts your current frame of mind, could actually be a step in helping you to get out of the poor frame of mind you are in.
If someone smiles back at you, it will make you happier and increase your confidence.
