Self-dating is a must for all single people, and here are 10 Reasons Why It’s Important To Self-Date!
It reconnects you with your soul!
You can get to know yourself even better.
It builds strength of character.
It boosts your confidence.
It improves your self-esteem.
It’s an act of self-love and compassion.
You can do what you want and see what you want and go where you want, without anyone saying anything negative, so you can fully enjoy the moment.
You can eat as much as you want without feeling bad or guilty. And you can buy yourself gifts to make you happy.
It emphasizes that you don’t need anyone else and empowers you to be more happy as a single person.
You know yourself better than anyone and you can create a feeling of joy, happiness and magic, all by yourself. That is super-empowering!
As you can see from these photos, I absolutely loved my self- date for International Celebrate Being Single Day and would totally recommend self-dating at each and every available opportunity! I went to Bristol Zoo, ate 3 meals out (was a bit full, full, full!!) and saw ‘Sing’ and the ‘Batman Lego Movie’ – which was awesome, both films are great!
INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATE BEING SINGLE DAY DOCUMENTARY: BRISTOL ZOO. This video took me over 6 months of learning IMovie and editing to create it. In this video I take you on my journey of my self-date for International Celebrate Being Single Day. From the moment I get to the train station, to going to the zoo, for food, and the cinema. I did create a shorter version of this without the mouse house that has tons of sound editing, but unfortunately a lot of my files went missing from that version. This version could have been 40 minutes originally so I did well to get it down to almost 24 minutes.
Thanks for all your 6 year blogging anniversary wishes, much appreciated. xx Hugs xx
For my birthday I had a weekend full of fun. On Sat 23rd of April – day before my official day and also Chestnut’s birthday, I went to Bristol Zoo with a friend and we also saw the Jungle Book in 3D and Bastille Day, an action/thriller film.
On Sat 24th, the official day, my parents came to my home in the morning, to give me my pressies and card; and I opened them, and I also opened my present – the bear and zesty jar from my friend, along with my other 3 cards.
Then I met a different friend at the train station, and we went to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth. Afterwards, I self-dated and saw Zootropolis – very deep storyline for an animation that brought tears to my eyes, and London has fallen – an action/thriller film. Of course I ate out in Nandos and had popcorn too, on both days.
I had over an hour to wait for the train to go home from Plymouth to Exeter, so the taxi driver dropped me off at a pub/bar near the station and it was very quiet in there. The Assistant Manager and Manager paid for my drinks for me as it was my birthday – 3 pineapple juices! I got back home after midnight so totally maxed out my birthday celebration time and loved every minute of it.
I saw Goosebumps and Deadpool. The first was hilarious, and a dream or nightmare come true for writers. The second, I didn’t like. Because I don’t like nudity and the violence was too graphic for me. I still loved my International Celebrate Being Single Day Celebration. It was amazing.
This video, Bristol Zoo Bug’s Life from the Cute to the Creepy, was taken on Valentine’s Day as part of my International Celebrate Being Single Day celebration, at Bristol Zoo’s Bug’s World. It is the third in the series and is a behind the scenes tour. Check out the cute Peacock Mantis Shrimp. It’s my favourite bug. It’s adorable.
I hope you are as captivated by the buggy beauty as me.
Sensational New Announcement:
I am going to London for 2 nights Mon 30th – Wed 1st April, for a Stand and Deliver Speaker Training course with Andy Harrington, the World’s Expert Leading Speaker Coach. I have got his Passion into Profit book and it’s amazing. By reading Andy’s book, I now know why I wasn’t meant to publish my Break Through The Barriers Of Redundancy book last year, because I need to write and tell my story at the front of the book. So I still have to do this. Everything happens for a reason, it’s just whether we choose to see it or not. My intuition told me that last year I was not ready to publish it because I needed to build my websites first. I still have some more to build. Once my websites are finished, my book will be my priority, followed by more how-to books for my Quirky Books e-book store. I am so very excited and cannot wait to share all of the upcoming writing news with you, as it unfolds.
There will be about 100 people attending the Stand and Deliver Speaker training course, and it will be being filmed. While in London I am also meeting an online friend on Mon and Tues evening and we are going to Chessington World of Adventures theme park on Wed. He hasn’t been to a theme park before, only a themed aquarium, so it should be good. Yes, I have spoke to him on the phone and via Skype, safety is important.
I had a super awesome Valentine’s Day/Celebrate Being Single Day. I went to Bristol Zoo – Make sure you check out my Bristol Zoo Mammoth Pile up video, then I went to the cinema and saw Jupiter Ascending in 3D. The 3D was on an XPLUS, IMAX quality screen, that was amazing. See this link below to it:
