It took me over 6.5 years for Quirky Books to be registered as my own Publishing Imprint, which was and still is, a dream come true. My first book I published in print under Quirky Books, was my Asexual Perspectives 47 Asexual Stories, Love, Life and Sex, ACElebration of Asexual Diversity book, in June 2017. I am currently working hard to get my second book for asexuals finished. This one is called Asexual Guide To Sex.
Thank you for joining me on the journey into print. One heck of a ride of a writing ride it’s been so far, and many more writing thrills are to come. I love writing books that change lives. It’s my life purpose, a part of my soul, and who I am. Writing makes my soul at peace, when nothing else can touch it in that way. It’s quite profound.
This beautiful Angel I got to see for the first time this week, (Wed, the day before the 2nd UK Lockdown), in 7.5 months. My daughter furry kid guinea pig Angel guine pig, lives with my parents as she is diabetic and I can’t inject her, as I have a genuine fear of needles and blood, and I had a panic attack in the vets, trying to inject her, when she was first diagnosed.
I cannot tell you how happy I was to see my baby girl after all this time. My heart had been pounding for her and missing her so much. I felt a lot of pain. But my mum is high risk category in at least 3 ways, and has a low immune system, so she has had to self isolate for months and I can’t go over to my parents home to see her. So I got her a new day trip cage that she loves, and she came to visit me for 8 hours. The time just flew by.
Angel loved to see me as much as I adored seeing her, and we had so much fun together. She is being taken by me and my dad next week, for a checkup at the vets. Dad will collect me. She hasn’t had her blood levels tested for a while and needs a few things checking, but otherwise she is a happy and healthy, beautiful girl.
I haven’t blogged here much lately, because I have been so busy with a new Store Sales Manager job I started on October 2nd. So after almost 3 years of working from home, I now have a day job again. It’s taken some time to get used to, but at least I am fortunate enough to have a day job, when thousands of people are redundant in the UK. I am currently furloughed from that job, for the 4 weeks of this UK lockdown.
So I am overjoyed at being a 10 year old blogger, it feels amazing. I want to thank you all for being here, watching my journey and supporting me. I love you all dearly. XxxxxxxX
As always, stay quirky and write soon. Much love Sandra xx

On the 8th of November, this year, 2018 – something amazing happened! I was sent a congratulations on my 8th year Bloggerversary for this Quirky Books blog.
In the time I started this blog, great things have happened to me:
In 2012, I overcame depression using my Embrace Your Quirky Philosophy, which is all about being your true, authentic self, no matter what anyone else, says, thinks, or does.
In 2012, I also was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, which took 6 months to come to terms with, and then I saw the blessings of it and how it truly changed my life, for the better, forever, it became my super power. Fibro is a chronic pain condition that affects the nerves and muscles of the body, you can’t usually die from it, but you can get other life threatening conditions because it can lower your immune system. Worse case is you can end up on crutches or in a wheelchair. Many people are tired with it and lack energy, I am different, because I do things differently, as you will read from my new fibro book that is coming out soon.
I completed a 14 week pattern changing course to ensure I don’t get into an abusive long-term relationship ever again.
I met HM The Queen at St James’s Palace, and spoke to her.
In 2014, I discovered I am hetero-asexual in sexual orientation, not hetero-sexual, so I am attracted to guys romantically, not sexually. I want to kiss them, not have sex with them – well the right guys, I am aesthetically attracted to younger, foreign guys, in their 20s! Asexual cougar! But not found the right asexual guy in the UK yet.
This year I got to be a speaker in London at the UK Asexuality Conference, on the 8th of July. It was amazing. I was part of a relationships panel discussion and also had my own 45 minute talk with Q & A, about how to arrange an asexual meetup.
I organise asexual in person meets in my city in the UK, since January 2015, and these days people come from all over the UK to them. This weekend I have another one and will be spending time with 9 asexuals on the official meetup day on Sunday 18th Nov, for a Chinese meal at Tang Shian restaurant and a 10th person will join us later for the Christmas light switching on in my city. I am meeting up with 7 of the 10, the evening before, for another meetup, and one of my asexual friends is staying in my city on Friday so I am meeting up with him and going clubbing, and him and another are staying over Sunday, so I shall see them Monday too. I love having asexual friends, happy days.
All of these 10 moments in my life have counted so much to my happiness, but there is many more I have had and many more to come, so this list is not exhaustive. Remember to make every moment count in your life, because once that moment is gone, it’s gone forever. Which reminds me that my Disneyland Paris 21st Mindset Birthday last year, was also one of the very best things to happen to me in my life, ever! So that is bonus number 11.
On the 8th of November, I also saw my furry kid daughters, which was fantastic to see them. Above are the photos I took whilst with them and I am visiting them again tomorrow, because on the 8th, they were both diagnosed with suspected ovarian cysts (Chestnut has lost some weight because of this), and both are having operations this Thursday 15th of November to remove those, so please pray they will be okay. Their hearts are strong, but it is a delicate operation for little piggies. I am really thankful the head vet who is now doing their operations, as he is experienced and the best chance they have of being okay. He was off sick and their appointment would have been tomorrow but it has been moved to Thursday so he can do it! Happy days again.
INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATE BEING SINGLE DAY DOCUMENTARY: BRISTOL ZOO. This video took me over 6 months of learning IMovie and editing to create it. In this video I take you on my journey of my self-date for International Celebrate Being Single Day. From the moment I get to the train station, to going to the zoo, for food, and the cinema. I did create a shorter version of this without the mouse house that has tons of sound editing, but unfortunately a lot of my files went missing from that version. This version could have been 40 minutes originally so I did well to get it down to almost 24 minutes.
Thanks for all your 6 year blogging anniversary wishes, much appreciated. xx Hugs xx
Wow! 6 years to this day I started Blogging on this blog – Quirky Books. This photo is actually taken from a video I did recently for my other channel.
Thank you for all your support; love, kindness, and friendship you have shown me. This blog is one of the very best things I ever started in my life, it helped me changed my life to be much more positive, and helped in my recovery from depression that I had for years prior to 2012, and I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me. I love you to bits xx
I want you to be one of the first to know – that I am changing my QuirkyAcademy.com into an online training centre for Entrepreneurs, Start-ups and Creatives. So if you are interested in any of those areas, and as creative writers I expect you are – then watch out in the next few months for courses to empower and accelerate your learning in all aspects of these areas.
Keep writing, keep being quirky, and keep being you xx

I am pleased to announce that Patty from http://petitemagique.wordpress.com has nominated me for the Really Neat Blog Award. Patty is a kind hearted and warm individual, who is always very supportive of my quirky endeavours. Thank you so much Patty, you are a true shining star in the darkness!
I am about a year behind with my blog award nomination – Yes, that’s so naughty I know. I am also a year later with my Break Through the Barriers of Redundancy book being published. Yes, I haven’t forgotten to publish my book, to let you into a little secret, I am waiting until I finish building my Quirky Empire of business/embrace your quirky life related sites, so I can unashamedly advertise my free and paid for services in the back of my book. See – I told you there was method in my quirky madness, well, I may not have said that to all of you, but hey! You telepathically thought it in a quirky way now, didn’t you? I mean absolutely everything I do in my life has purpose and meaning whether it is apparent to even myself at the time or not.
Before I announce my nominations, to give you an idea of the scale of what I now do – Below are links to my websites and social media – Please join me on my embrace your quirky mission. http://www.embraceyourquirky.com and http://www.worldofquirky.com will be coming to a screen near you, later in 2015.
For those of you who don’t know, I used to suffer with depression for years and freed myself from it, without medication, almost 3 years ago. I still worked when I was suffering with depression, because I felt better working than being at home and could separate that part of my life, to still be affective. I wasn’t a manic depressive person, but I did have a lot of times when I did not want to exist in the world. Now I am a completely different person, because I know my purpose in life is to write and to help others and I embrace every quirky thing about me. There is never a dull moment in my life, it’s super awesome. I used my own embrace your quirky philosophy, to get myself well, improve my life and be happy to be alive. I want to help others to do the same.
By the end of 2015, I want everyone to know how to embrace their quirky to lead a happy, successful and fulfilling existence. If you haven’t already subscribed to my quirkybooksTV channel, please do so now, because I will have more videos next year, all about embracing your quirky, and if you miss them on here, you can get them straight to your inbox via the settings in your YouTube account. I would really like your involvement about the quirky topics I will be raising, so feel free to comment to your hearts content. I have some more fun videos to share with you first over the next few weeks as we ease into the new year. I still have another 6 websites to build and more writing of courses for the teaching I do, as well as attend my day job 5 days a week. All in the life of a Quirk!
You can now find me at Facebook on 8 Pages and you can find me on Twitter at 8 Accounts:
To all of my friends who get worried about my health for taking on so much, I really appreciate your care and worry over me. It is a lot to take on, even I admit it, but I instinctively know it’s the right thing to do, and I have to go by what my instincts and creative mind are telling me to do.
I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings, bring it on!
So, to break my usual rule of doing my nominations in the order they were given to me, I am doing the latest one first, as I only need to nominate as many people as I want and not answer any questions – If only more awards were like this one!
I may have to break the rules with my other award nominations and not answer some of the questions, or nominate the required amount of people, otherwise there will be a sad lack of award giving due to my tight time constraints. Even now I have a mountain of work piling up with deadlines, and I have to work the next 6 days in a row after today, in my day job, up until Christmas Eve. Happy Christmas!
The Really Neat Blog Award is a new award created by Dear Kitty.
That concludes my nominations for this award. Thank you to all of my nominees, many of whom join in the quirky fun on a regular basis. Apologies for not being able to nominate everyone who follows, comments or Likes my posts, I could not have got so far in life today, without your support, you are amazing. Never forget that you are quirkily awesome. Keep embracing your quirky, be your authentic self, and live the life that only you were born to lead.
I am thrilled to have been blogging for 4 years on this Quirky Books (quirkybooks) Blog.
Thanks to each and every one of you for joining me on my journey into print, and following my quirky goings on. I couldn’t have done the last 4 years without you. I love blogging and would never be without it, or you bloggers, in my life. I will always be blogging.
I never would have thought 4 years ago, that I would now teach blogging for a living. Okay, so I still have a full-time day job too. Teaching Blogging an an Aid to Recovery, is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my entire life. I have been doing this on a self-employed basis, but will be going on the NHS Staff Bank from the 1st of December.
I am also teaching Blogging for Business, with my Blog for Business Fast Track Masterclasses, next year, at the Phoenix, in Exeter, I can’t wait.
