10 Year Blogging Anniversary Quirky Books

Wow! 10 years today I started this Quirky Books blog. I just took this screenshot on my phone to celebrate.

It took me over 6.5 years for Quirky Books to be registered as my own Publishing Imprint, which was and still is, a dream come true. My first book I published in print under Quirky Books, was my Asexual Perspectives 47 Asexual Stories, Love, Life and Sex, ACElebration of Asexual Diversity book, in June 2017. I am currently working hard to get my second book for asexuals finished. This one is called Asexual Guide To Sex.

Thank you for joining me on the journey into print. One heck of a ride of a writing ride it’s been so far, and many more writing thrills are to come. I love writing books that change lives. It’s my life purpose, a part of my soul, and who I am. Writing makes my soul at peace, when nothing else can touch it in that way. It’s quite profound.

This beautiful Angel I got to see for the first time this week, (Wed, the day before the 2nd UK Lockdown), in 7.5 months. My daughter furry kid guinea pig Angel guine pig, lives with my parents as she is diabetic and I can’t inject her, as I have a genuine fear of needles and blood, and I had a panic attack in the vets, trying to inject her, when she was first diagnosed.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to see my baby girl after all this time. My heart had been pounding for her and missing her so much. I felt a lot of pain. But my mum is high risk category in at least 3 ways, and has a low immune system, so she has had to self isolate for months and I can’t go over to my parents home to see her. So I got her a new day trip cage that she loves, and she came to visit me for 8 hours. The time just flew by.

Angel in her new day trip cage.

Angel loved to see me as much as I adored seeing her, and we had so much fun together. She is being taken by me and my dad next week, for a checkup at the vets. Dad will collect me. She hasn’t had her blood levels tested for a while and needs a few things checking, but otherwise she is a happy and healthy, beautiful girl.

I haven’t blogged here much lately, because I have been so busy with a new Store Sales Manager job I started on October 2nd. So after almost 3 years of working from home, I now have a day job again. It’s taken some time to get used to, but at least I am fortunate enough to have a day job, when thousands of people are redundant in the UK. I am currently furloughed from that job, for the 4 weeks of this UK lockdown.

So I am overjoyed at being a 10 year old blogger, it feels amazing. I want to thank you all for being here, watching my journey and supporting me. I love you all dearly. XxxxxxxX

As always, stay quirky and write soon. Much love Sandra xx

Are You A Blogger, Author, Or Writer? Want More Exposure And Copy That Clicks? Don’t Miss This!

Are you a Blogger, Writer, Author? Do you write blog posts that are shared once and never shared again? Do you struggle to find the right words to spice up your post to create curiosity? Do you spend hours trying to share your posts multiple times over and trying to think up compelling copy to get those clicks? If the answer to any of those is yes, you need Missing Lettr, because is does all the hard work for you, so you don’t have to. Not only does it automate the sharing of your blog posts to multiple social media profiles, it automatically suggests the best hashtags to use and creates compelling post copy, that gets noticed, so you gain more exposure for each of your posts and many more click throughs, all at a fraction of the cost it would take you to hire an expensive social media manager, an expensive copywriter, or to buy expensive copywriting software – and then the time it takes to figure out how to use it.

Why do all that hard work when you don’t have to? If you are a Blogger, Writer, Author, and you want more exposure, in less time, and get a well oiled machine that does all the hard work for you, so you don’t have to, and you can stop wasting your precious time and do more productive money making tasks, you need to buy this tool.

If you want to know more about how to use this fabulous tool, post that shows you how to do just that, here https://wp.me/p1bntR-42y with a behind-the-scenes look at my dashboard using screenshots, so you can see how valuable it is in action!

It’s incredibly good value for money. I know some other companies who charge much more for this type of thing. The amount of suggested copy you get, to gain more exposure and clicks, is just amazing! It would take you hours alone, just to think up this stuff, and that in itself, saves you so much time. I think this is what sets Missing Lettr apart from other social media automation tools, is that it creates compelling copy to go with your posts, so you don’t have to. Most companies would either not do both, or charge an extortionate amount, particularly for the automatic creation of copy; hundreds of pounds. Buy now here https://goo.gl/RNvo3L

Until next time, stay quirky and write soon

Happy 9 Year Blogging Anniversary To Quirky Books And Published Author Sandra Bellamy At Quirky Books!

9 Year Blogging anniversary

Sometimes you have to be your own cheerleader in life and say congratulations to yourself. Because if you don’t recognise your own achievements and think they are amazing, why should anyone else? Yes, I have been blogging for over 9 years on this Quirky Books blog and in 2017 I finally registered Quirky Books as my own publishing imprint. It was a very proud moment! To have my own publishing company is a dream come true. I used to always want to be traditionally published, but once I realised I can make more money and have more flexibility over the content of my books, as a self-published Author, and that my books truly change peoples’ lives and stop some people from killing themselves, I realised my life purpose is being fulfilled and I am leaving a true lasting legacy for generations to come!

Recently I had a respiratory infection and lost voice (I could only whisper), and could not do any live streaming on either of my www.youtube.com/quirkybooksTV or my www.youtube.com/asexualisemyasexuallife channel. The doctor told me I must rest to get well, she was concerned that my heartbeat was faster than normal and my temperature was higher than normal. So I rested for 7 days straight. I did try to do a bit of writing on day 4 of my 7 days of antibiotics, but started to feel dizzy again, so had to stop it. My first stream was only a few hours ago on my www.youtube.com/asexualisemyasexuallife channel, since getting my voice back. The one thing I am very grateful and thankful for, if I ever lost my voice completely for good, which I would never wish to ever do, as I love talking, educating others, and have a gift for YouTube live streaming, then at least I would still be able to do my main passion and life purpose of writing, which is a huge relief!

So yeah, always live with passion and purpose in your heart and write what you want, like and love, and just be quirky you, as no one does you better xx

Until next time, stay quirky and write soon

What Good Is A Blog Post If It’s Only Seen Once? How To Share Your Message To Masses Using Missing Lettr

What good is a blog post if it’s only seen once by its intended audience? Why not use that one blog post, multiple times over and get the reach you want and truly deserve? I love blogging, I’ve always loved blogging and soon it will be my 9th year as a blogging expert! Well, maybe I can call myself that now I have reached that milestone? Don’t you think? In any case, I love it, for me blogging is both therapeutic, educational and entertaining, even for me to write it! I don’t blog because I have to, I blog because I really want to and love it. I love writing. I love blogging because I find it’s conversational, not boring or academic – although I can get technical at times and I love it because it feels like me. I do it as a labour of love and to document my journey into print. Whenever someone reads this blog, they can see, that they too, can become a successful writer. They can learn from my mistakes. They can smile in my own joy, realising that they too, can achieve what once seemed like the impossible and make it possible.

When I first started this blog, I did it for me. That might sound counterintuitive, but that is the truth. I had to learn to find my writer’s voice, however, I also wanted to help other writers because I knew I had the gift of writing by my side. Even though there were blogs that had been around far longer than me, I just knew I had to get started, and I intuitively knew I could help others with their writing, but not only that, with being their QUIRKY, true, authentic self. I knew back then that Quirky Books would one day be my own publishing imprint and that dream came true in 2017.

Back then I was also going through a period of insecurity, of feeling out of control, uneasy in myself and blogging was not only my escape, but also something I could feel in control of, in a time in my life when I felt out of control. My self-esteem was low back then, and my confidence. So for 8 months, I never had a follower, no one had probably ever heard of me. Or if they did, they kept quiet about it. Then one day, out of the blue, I got this one person following me, it never occurred to me at that time that if I wanted people to follow me, I would need to find and follow them first. I didn’t even know what the Reader was, let alone how to use it. I was self-taught, stubborn as a mule, as always, had to learn everything myself. I still like learning for myself, but this time I am willing and able to learn from others and to learn faster than ever before.

But what can be quite frustrating, like I said at the beginning of this post, what if my blog post, my piece of “quirky artwork” as I like to call it, what if it’s only seen once by a handful of people, then what? How can others learn from me and my posts, and more have that special “a-ha” moment, if all I am doing is sharing it once? How is that helping the most people possible? It’s not! Many people die with their message, knowledge, skills and experience inside them. They never get to pass their legacy onto others, and they just accept this, or are never even consciously aware of it, but what if there was a way to share your message to hundreds and even thousands of people, in a really unique and fun way? This is why I bought access to Missing Lettr, because Missing Lettr lets you share your message to the world, in a unique and colourful way. It enables you to create several pieces of unique content across social media and schedule and share these several times over throughout a whole year, set and forget it, on autopilot. So you create it once, select which variations of the posts you want to use, and on which days they suggest you post it and it’s shared multiple times over. Each of their ‘snippet posts’ which HOOK the reader, leads back to your original blog posts! It’s incredible. It’s quirky, it’s different, and it’s fun. And the team really do care about their customers and give excellent customer service after care. So once you have connected your blog/s, to Missing Lettr, it will then automatically, or automagically as I like to call it, transform your blog posts, into short ‘snippet posts’ for your Facebook pages, Facebook Groups and Twitter profiles, and other social media profiles too. It will even suggest the most appropriate and popular hashtags for your posts, (see screenshot below), so you don’t even have to think about this yourself. Which saves you a ton of time! And unless you automate your posts to share all over social media, you are exchanging your precious time for ‘potential’ money. Automating posts, instead of sharing them manually over and over again, gives you your life back and allows you to be more productive, writing another blog post, writing a book, or article, and allows you to do what ever else you want and still be seen to be all over social media.

This is a peek into my Missing Lettr Dashboard. This particular profile which I have connected, is my blog on my www.asexualise.com site. Each blog post I have already posted (published) once, automatically appears in my dashboard and then asks me to review the marketing posting campaign for the entire year that they have created for me, this is like having your own social media marketing team, permanently by your side, for a fraction of the cost it would take you to hire just one marketing person on your team to do all this for you, in fact you would likely have to hire more than one person if you have multiple social media profiles like me. Missing Lettr will automatically have suggested dates to post throughout the year, based on what are going to be the most popular times to post, to gain maximum exposure. All you have to do is approve (or reject) the campaign for each of the profiles you have selected to post to and ensure you have made a choice about which one of their variations you want to use for each of your social media profiles.

Missing Lettr are officially approved by Facebook, so if you use them, you won’t get any warnings from Facebook which threaten your continued use of your account. If you want to post to your Facebook Groups, all you do is authorise them as an App that is allowed to post on your behalf, in your settings for that particular group. Each Twitter account, Facebook Page or Facebook group you attach to Missing Lettr, have suggested variations for each single profile you have connected, so you select and copy the suggestion you want and hey presto, you have the most amazing copy for sharing your posts, without even writing a single word of copy yourself – unless you want to, as you can add your own words to personalise it more. Much better than having to hire an expensive copywriter or take an expensive copywriting course to learn that skill for yourself! In my experience, you can learn quickly what sorts of copy draw in people to your posts, when you see their suggestions and monitor your stats within your dashboard to see the outcome of sharing your posts!

So here I have a blog post in my Missing Lettr Dashboard about my Fibromyalgia Self-Help Handbook: How To Manage Fibromyalgia, Have Less Pain, More Energy, Feel Happier, Like A Superhero Rockstar! Which is also suitable for anyone who has depression and anxiety and wants to change their life, and turn it around, for the better, forever. The profiles highlighted in red with an exclamation mark, are the ones I have not yet decided which copy to use, and the others in green (Facebook) and blue (Twitter), I have decided on and chosen from their suggestions.

This following screenshots, are 3 more variations they suggested for me in this particular instance.

If you want to put your blog posts on autopilot AND get 50% off (for 3 months) to try it out, I joined the Missing Lettr affiliate team because I love what they do and have used the platform myself for some time so I know they are sound. They gave me a special code to give to my followers so you can get 50% off for those first 3 months of joining. The best thing is there are absolutely no contracts, so you can cancel at any time. Here’s the link to get started https://goo.gl/bc3wLu You will be so glad you did. Once you start using Missing Lettr, you will wonder how you ever lived without it, as it takes care of all the hard work for you, so you don’t have to, and you can continue to enjoy doing what you love and blog to your heart’s content, knowing that your content will be shared with the masses and you can leave a lasting legacy and impression in their own hearts’ and minds’, long after you are gone. Change your blogging life and theirs’, click here to get started now https://goo.gl/bc3wLu.

If you have any questions, comments, or thoughts about this post, I would love to hear from you. Leave them down below and I will reply as soon as I can.

As always, stay quirky and write soon.

P.S. If you didn’t know what it means to be an affiliate, it means that if you join a company’s affiliate programme, and you promote or recommend them to someone and they click through your affiliate link, then you may get paid some monetary compensation for it. This is no different to selling products in a physical store and getting a commission on them. It costs the customer no more, but the company you are working for or with, gives you some money for the referral if it’s within a certain time frame and meets their terms and conditions, as it’s money they would not usually have had unless you told that customer about them. I have clicked through another person’s affiliate links before, if it costs me no more money, then why wouldn’t I help someone like that and pay it forward, after all, they are helping me out by informing me about this thing I knew nothing about in the first place and I like helping people out! It makes me feel good, knowing I did this for someone. So if you do click through my special link that will get you 50% off for the first 3 months of using Missing Lettr and you can cancel at any time with no contracts, and I do receive some monetary compensation because of it, I would like to thank you very much and say I really appreciate it. xx

Asexual Awareness Week! What Is Asexuality? Am I asexual? Asexuality Q&A With Asexual Entrepreneur And Author Sandra Bellamy

Asce Awareness Week!
Happy Asexual Awareness Week! Asexuality is a sexual orientation that is the lack of sexual attraction, this means we don’t get the need, urge, or want, for sexual intercourse!

Asexual Awareness Week is from Sunday 22nd Oct-Sat 28th of October 2017. Have you ever asked yourself, “Am I asexual?” And, “What is Asexuality?

Have you ever thought to yourself; I am not that bothered about sex; I don’t want sex; I don’t need sex; I don’t love in that way; I am not that type of person; but you are scared of saying that out aloud because society usually validates relationships with how good your sex life is? And society keeps shoving sex down your throat – Buy this to get more sex! Have to this get more sex! You need sex to be happy! You need sex to love! You need sex to live! I am here to tell you, this simply is not true for everyone. And if this sounds like you, there is nothing wrong with you, you are likely to be asexual and that is a great thing, because it means you have the capacity to love and be loved, in a relationship, without sex.

Asexuality is a sexual orientation that is barely unheard of and deeply misunderstood. Many asexuals are asexual from birth, but do not realise it until much later in life. In fact, it was a fellow blogger who used to write about sex in an educative way, not a lustful way, that first suggested I was asexual. But back then I hated the fact the word had the word sexual in it, it sounded alien to me, and I quickly retorted back in a message that I just don’t associate sex with love, but I like kissing, and that was the end of that. I am not sure how many years that was prior to my discovery, but in 2014, I went to see a counsellor, because I could no longer go on dating heterosexuals as it used to make me almost wet myself at the thought of the expectation they would want it to lead to sex. When I told the counsellor I was worried that I would like a relationship, but that I may not be able to be in one again, because I don’t like sex, she said that I would need to have sex in order to keep a good guy!! I thought this can’t be right, surely there must be others like me, and why should I have to do something I don’t want to do, just to have a good relationship? So I went home and Googled ‘I love kissing but not sex’, and it came up with asexuality and www.asexuality.org which is the biggest online community for asexuals. I read some of their forums threads, before registering at a later date, and I really related to what they were saying and I thought, ‘Finally, there are people like me in the world, who can love and have relationships without sex, and who want relationships without sex, and I am not alone, and I never have to have sex again in my life’, it was such a relief!!

The full definition of asexuality is: Asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction, and/or little to no interest in sexual activities. Notice the OR. So although most asexuals are born asexual and do not realise it, there are a smaller number of people who identify as asexual later in life, because things have changed for them and they are permanently no longer interested in sexual activities, even if previously they lead a very heterosexual life. I was born asexual but did not realise it, and I was in heterosexual relationships for years, but I did not experience sexual attraction as I had no urge, need, or want to have sex, even with someone I loved. Although I have had sex in the past and my last long-term ex was good at it, I always preferred his kiss and finger to his penis, and had sex because I felt I had to!

Within the Asexuality sexual orientation, there are subcategories on something called the Asexual Spectrum. If you think of the A in Asexual to mean ‘absence’ of sexual attraction, you can’t go far wrong. So if you think of it as starting off as aromantic asexuals – those who are absent of romantic attraction and absent of sexual attraction, then the greyromantics, those that experience a little romance in certain circumstances but not sexual attraction, and the demi-romantics, those who can only experience romantic attraction, once a strong emotional bond has been formed, but not sexual attraction. Then there are the romantics. Within the romantics; those who experience romantic attraction, there are heteroromantics (attracted to the opposite sex or gender romantically but not sexually), which is what I am. I am only romantically attracted to guys. I want to kiss, hold hands and cuddle, but not have sex with them and I am never attracted to women. There are the homoromantics, (attracted to the same sex or gender romantically but not sexually), biromantics, (those attracted to both male and female romantically but not sexually), and panromantics, (those attracted to any gender romantically but not sexually, when I say any gender, this could include attraction towards those who are agenda and gender fluid). This list is not exhaustive, this is just the main ones. Then there are those asexuals on the more sexual end of the asexual spectrum, known as the grey asexuals and demi-sexuals. The grey asexuals, who are often also known as Grey A, or sometimes greysexuals, are those who experience sexual attraction but only under limited, or rare, or specific circumstances, or who experience sexual attraction but not enough to want to act on it. Grey asexual, also used to be a catch all term for those who are somewhere between asexual and sexual, but don’t quite fit into an asexual box. However, this definition is no longer on Aven Wiki. Which is a resource about asexuality from www.asexuality.org. In my Asexual Perspectives 47 Asexual Stories, Love, Life and Sex, ACElebration of Asexual Diversity book, I redefine Grey A to mean asexual with Grey Areas, such as sexual behaviours. So my Grey Area for example is I love passionate kissing and I experience high levels of arousal, but I never experience sexual attraction. This means that I can exhibit some sexual behaviour, even though I never have a need, urge, or want for sex. But I don’t feel comfortable just saying I am a straightforward heteroromantic, because many heteroromantics don’t like kissing as much as I do, or how passionately as I do, so I don’t fit the Grey A box as it is described, but I have Grey Areas, which is why I think Grey A, should be a separate definition to grey asexual and greysexual. And finally we have the demisexuals, those who usually experience romantic attraction, but can only experience sexual attraction once a strong emotional bond is formed and this could take up to 2 years or more, for example. And this if you like, is where asexuality ends and the sexual spectrum starts. Although there are other asexual categories and subcategories, even within the categories I already mentioned, but I don’t want to confuse you as it’s a lot to get your head around. Subscribe to my channel if you want to know more about asexuality www.youtube.com/c/asexualisemyasexuallife

I wrote a book about asexuality, you can shop for it here by clicking on this link: Asexual Perspectives 47 Asexual Stories, Love, Life and Sex, ACElebration of Asexual Diversity.
