I am pleased to report that Snuggles is recovering from her Bloat/Gastritis/Gut Stasis, life or death illlness. A huge thanks to my mum, for tirelessly nursing and syringe feeding her. She still continues to do so. I will always be eternally grateful to my mum for saving Snuggles’s life, and the fact she was alive for her third birthday party, on Sunday 12th of October.
How do you celebrate your pet’s birthday?
Write soon, embrace your quirky and your pet’s quirky too.
I finished 4 days of birthday bliss celebrations in the early hours of this morning. Thanks for all of your birthday wishes and kind comments, I will catch up with personal replies soon.
For my actual birthday day, 24th of April, I went to Brean Leisure Park, otherwise known as Fun City. I have to say, it was amazing fun.
The photo that shows part of my hand, was taken just as the Waltzer that I was on, was taking off.
I am planning to do a re-read of my Break through the barriers of redundancy book tomorrow.
My illustrator has extended my book deadline to 9am this Wednesday 22nd. I have typed up all of the chapters but still need to do a final edit on them. I also have the book blurb to do and most of the index to do.
This extension has meant I could spend some extra time with my Grandma for her 96th birthday yesterday and to see her today. She has been poorly and I really needed to spend time with her.
Also, I saw Daisy and Cinnamon for some of today, to celebrate their 2nd birthday.
Write when I can
I remember I told you in a previous post, that I went to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth for my birthday last month.
I was absolutely delighted that I got to see the fishes on my birthday. I felt calm and at ease around them and the time I spent there was very relaxing.
Below are some of the photos I took with my phone. I hope you enjoy them.
Just to let you know, I have some exciting news. Writer and Author Jennifer Owenby will be guest blogging on this blog on Tuesday 28th of May, so look out for her informative post. Particularly if you have an interest in short story writing.
Let me know what you think of the photos.
My apologies if I have not been blogging or commenting as much lately but I have some amazing news to share with you. Not only have I been having some time off from work to celebrate my birthday week but I have also commenced work on changing http://www.quirkybooks.net into a much more impressive author website which will incorporate an e-Book store in the near future. All books on this site will be my own written work. Book cover illustrations will be from a variety of sources including new illustrators.
This is an exciting time for both me and quirkybooks.
If you search for my website at the moment, you will see that it is currently under construction whilst I spend the next weeks adding content to my site. By June or July I hope to have my first e-Book available to buy on this site. I intend to self publish on Amazon too.
As always, I like to do things the quirky way, so rather than having books galore to start with, you will see books gradually appearing over time.
For my Birthday day, I visited the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth and I hope to upload some photos I took there soon.
I have a lot of blog award posts to catch up with and I am very grateful for each and every one. Please bear with me, I will get around to officially thanking you and accepting them, although I may not be able to devote the time to contact all nominees individually due to my website preparation and new future work commitments.
Something magical is starting and I am thrilled to have you along for the journey. Thank you my friends.
It was my Grandma’s 95th Birthday yesterday and today it’s Daisy’s and Cinnamon’s 1st Birthday. What a contrast.
Daisy is white with a black and white face and Cinnamon is brown with streaks of a light grey.
My pigs make me smile every day. What do your animals do for you?
Happy 1st Birthday Daisy and Cinnamon.
It’s Peaches and Snuggles’ Birthday today. Happy first birthday to you. xx
