I’m writing this as someone who realised and rationalised his own asexuality a while back, before there was the relative wealth of information and acknowledgement that there is today – I think this book is a great idea and could be beneficial for many reasons. A few of the contributors have found ways to explain in such relatable terms, something that may be a struggle to put across to somebody who may be unfamiliar of asexuality. Any young people who may feel unsure of themselves or those just beginning to explore the possibility that they may be asexual should find something that rings true to them in this book. I’m sure it will be a helpful tool to them, showing them that many others have had this experience. Or allowing them to find a way to tell a friend or family member with clarity that ‘I am ace, and what that means is…’.
And for older aces, or even those just curious about asexuality- taken as a collection of experiences, it’s interesting to discover the common ground and massive variations across all the entries. For some it’s an intrinsic part of their personality and for others it’s a mundane fact they barely give a thought to.
If it had been around when I was younger it would have provided a certain amount of relief to come across this book and I hope it will do that for others now it’s here.
I have also changed my book cover wording to now read Asexual Perspectives: 47 Asexual Stories: Love, Life and Sex, ACElebration of Asexual Diversity. ( I added the stories part.)

    I read your post above. Congratulations, you have completed your book. You have abundant energy and knowledge. I hope you are healthy and happy. We are in the east believe, if we are sick and suffering, surely we will get tremendous joy. You are a brave woman. I am sure you will succeed in your life. Thank you my friend, such a beautiful and warm message, ,y health is not in the best place right now, but I also believe, the more problems we have the greater the reward will be to come. Also now I am dealing with not such nice stuff, it means that get stuff will come my way, so I hope that is sooner, rather than later. xx Of course I forgive you xx How is your health and mental wealth?

      1. Maybe for you it’s a little funny and illogical. I see. West and east perspective is different. Sick, in eastern perspective is seen as:
        1. Reduction of sin. 2. God wants us closer to Him. 3. The opportunity for remembrance to remember God. Wherever in the east, the physical life side by side with the metaphysical. My physical and metaphysical health is good. With a quiet soul, wherever we live, feels like in heaven. I hope you always happy in your own paradise. 🙂

      3. Dear Sandra. There is a metaphysical law: Anyone who retaliated with kindness, the degree of that people will rise. I think Noah, Moses, Jonah, Joseph, Muhammad, later Mahatma Gandhi from India, and now, Aung San Suu Kyi from Myanmar, all had that. They finally have a high degree. They are permitted to achieve success, and silenced the oppressors. You will enjoy your high degree & success. 🙂

        I had to go to the doctors and get a prescription about 3 weeks ago and just finished final part last night, but may have to go back again. I have been having a few problems. Lots of love and hugs xx

      3. I keep missing your comments Sandra. For the last two nights I have closed down my laptop, wake up in the morning and find that 10 minutes after I shut down a comment came in from you. That’s twice. Unbelievable.

      7. Fun stuff is a great idea. That’s great that your doctor did not fill you full of tablets like most would. All you need now is for the NHS to pay for your trip. Sounds good to me ! 🙂 xx

      8. Hi Ralph, I so wish that would happen. I only get SSP, so would not be off work unless I really needed to be. She is a great doctor. Work suggested a pill – like no!! That does not solve the problem.
