Hi everyone
I just had to share this uplifting post with you. I was in a dark place years ago, not liking my life, or who I was, so I changed it. I changed my circumstances and my environment automatically changed as a result. I changed and developed myself until I was happy with the best version of me that there could be, and I am still evolving now. Nowadays I am happy with who I am, and comfortable in my own skin. I enjoy being quirky and pride myself on not being normal – If I can help it. Even though my life can still be up and down sometimes, I am the happiest I have ever been.
Be true to who you are. If you don’t like who you are, then make changes and become the greatest version of yourself that you were born to be.

“A new day: Be open enough to see opportunities. Be wise enough to be grateful. Be courageous enough to be happy.” ~ Steve Maraboli
Life can be tough. And if you’ve ever had one of those days, that turns into one of those weeks it can be to hard embrace the new day and be happy. Everyone has difficult times and whilst it’s essential to your overall well-being to feel your emotions, but it’s also crucial to have some balance. You have to love your life too.
I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself. ~ Maya Angelou.
I spent many years battling the depression and addiction that defined my existence. Whilst my circumstances had a huge part to play in how I felt, the fundamental issue was that I didn’t know how to enjoy my life because I didn’t…

Sandra I love this blog! I can to relate to not liking the place I am in. But like you I am evolving just as my body is to from cancer. However I promise myself my sense of humor I will never loose. Even if I am the only one laughing at my joke, at least I am happy! I guess happiness is a journey everyone is on 😉

Thanks so much. Never lose your sense of humour, it is great you still have one. I often dance around my home and listen to dance music almost all of the time, doing it now. I spend a lot of time on my own – Well my piggies are always with me – And I have a blast.

Lol I do the same, I love dancing to club music by myself lol it feels wonderful!!!! It’s been weeks since I last did but hopefully soon I’ll be healed with my dance shoes on 🙂 my son who is 14 yrs old saw me once and fell on the floor laughing! I said that’s ok cause back in the day I was cool. And when I have the door shut I AM back in those days!!!! I’m glad your piggies enjoy it, my pit bull not so much haha I finally got him to stop barking at me when I do dance 🙂

You certainly should get back to that dancing asap, as it sounds invigorating and good for you. You will have to teach your pit bull to dance so he can join in. I start dancing with my parent’s dogs and they love it.xx

Dance a little for me!!! My implants have to stay put for now. But music has been a huge part of my recovery! Zen at night to meditate, a little Pearl Jam from my college years when I’m feeling philosophical , and club/ dance and dubstep when I can move around! It just takes you to another world.

I am glad to hear music is good for you and that you are getting your daily dose whenever you can. I use dance music/club music to keep my energy levels high when I feel extremely tired. I am listening to it again tonight. I am self-employed as well as having a full-time day job. I often work until 1am or 2am on my self-employment stuff and get up just after 7.30am for work in my day job. Without dance/club music, I wouldn’t be able to stay awake.
