Birthday Delight

Hi everyone

I remember I told you in a previous post, that I went to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth for my birthday last month.

I was absolutely delighted that I got to see the fishes on my birthday. I felt calm and at ease around them and the time I spent there was very relaxing.

Below are some of the photos I took with my phone. I hope you enjoy them.

Just to let you know, I have some exciting news. Writer and Author Jennifer Owenby will be guest blogging on this blog on Tuesday 28th of May, so look out for her informative post. Particularly if you have an interest in short story writing.

Let me know what you think of the photos.

Write soon

Sandra

    1. Thanks for the compliment. I don’t really think about my hand, I just point and click. That sounds lazy doesn’t it! Maybe because I don’t think about it, I take better shots? If I use an actual camera then I think about steadying my hand a lot more.

  1. Fantastic pics, I’ve always loved tropical marine fish…I used to want to keep them but think they were a bit specialist for me (and expensive). I can admire from afar though 🙂

      1. I did have regular tropical fish for quite a number of years, I remember when I was a teenager we had a power cut and I wrapped aluminium kitchen foil and a duvet around the tank to keep it warm. Fish seemed fine actually, it was me that was more stressed 😉

      2. Awww, bless you. I think that is great that you cared so much about your pets. I know they were fish that you had but I love animals and have 4 guineapigs.

      3. yeah I adore animals, always have! I sometimes honestly prefer them to people 😛 I actually have a hamster, one of the few adults I know who does. Guinea pigs are gorgeous! 🙂

      4. I prefer my guineapigs to a lot of people and I can live without a man but never without my pigs. I am happy on my own but if I ever think about being with someone, they have to genuinely like and be caring toward my pigs otherwise they are out the door. My piggies are my world and brighten my every day. Contrary to most people, I like noise rather than quiet and feel so much happier when they are making noise. They live in my flat with me in the same room and I think them munching on hay is very therapeutic. Good for you that you like pets and have a hamster.

    1. Thanks Jackie for the birthday wishes. It’s a 5 mega-pixel camera on my phone and apart from a couple of blurry bits I was surprised how well they turned out. I a really glad you enjoyed them. The guest post is going to be ‘short’ and sweet so keep an eye out for it Tuesday evening.

    1. Thanks. I have got some others but when I tried to upload them from my phone they disappeared and I had to start over, so thought I better upload less otherwise they may disappear again.

    1. Thanks so much. I loved the Nemos the best. Ever since Finding Nemo, I always refer to the Flame Angel fish as Nemos and they had differently coloured ones in the same tank. Very pretty.
