Hi Everyone
My apologies for not blogging for a while. I have been very poorly and although I did make it to London for Valentine’s Day, I had to cut my holiday short due to illness.
I have to say that this has been one of the worst periods of illness in my life to date and I have been so weak that at the worst peak of my infection I couldn’t:
- Write many texts
- Write any Facebook messages
- Write any LinkedIn updates
- Write any tweets
- Write any blog posts
- Write any web content
- Write any of my book content
- Write any notes
- Read my emails
- Respond to emails
- Read any books
Sometimes it’s hard to realise just how much of my life is spent writing and doing things related to my writing, such as reading books. I have learnt during this time to always count my writing blessings twice and to never take my writing for granted.
Although I am still off work sick I am able to write again and it is a fantastic feeling.
I would encourage you all to make a list of the writing activities that you do and take time out to appreciate each one of them. Think what your life would be like without writing in it and never take your writing for granted.
Until next time, keep writing and enjoying it.
Write soon
Sandra
While some say there is no such thing as a Muse. I would playfully disagree.
My Muse allows me the freedom to write everyday, just a tad or a bunch. Just as long as I give her credit every now and then.
Hope you are feeling better. Alastair is inspirational, fun and a gentleman.

Alastair really is an amazing guy and modest too. Thanks for stopping by. I am so happy to hear that you have a muse and you allow her to let your creativity flow, that is awesome. To be able to embrace ones creativity in such a way is a gift.

Thanks Ankit. It must be working because it’s the first time today that I have been out to do a full shop in 3 weeks and I didn’t cough too much, just a bit. I am due to go back to work on Monday and my mum is coming over for Mother’s Day tomorrow. I will read it one evening this coming week as I still have a lot to do around my home before going back to work and want to give it my full attention.

Don’t worry, that little cough will die soon.
And give your mother a hug from side. Say its from her younger son from India 🙂

Hi Ankit
That’s so sweet of you. As I read this message, she had left, I phoned her up to tell her. She wasn’t quite sure what you meant but I explained and she said thanks.

Thanks so much. Had to go back to the doctor’s today and I have been signed off work sick for another week with double the dosage of anti-biotics I took last time. 1000MG a day. Last time it was 500mg a day.

Bloody hell. 😦 Forgive me for playing Mum but eat yoghurt until it comes out of your ears. Seriously. You’ll need it to counter what the antibiotics do to your gut bacteria. Fingers crossed this lot fix you right up.

Thanks Darlene. I am so excited I can write again that I am writing content for my redundancy website every night even though I am still not well. I have to go back to my day job on Monday. You are right, I should get to bed. I always come alive at night and write better.

You are so right it is really a writing world, never really noticed before. Lucky that we like writing really, otherwise life would be awful.

I love that. Yes, a world without writing would be an awful one and now I love writing even more.

Too true! I’m sorry you were ill, but I’m glad to hear you are healing. Being sick, unable to have the energy to do what we love, is an eye-opener. Been there – don’t want to be there again!

Thanks Jessica. It has been a real eye-opener for me too. Thinks like eating, standing up for any length of time and doing food shopping, I would usually be able to do no problem but not this time. This illness has been a savage one. I hope that neither of us ever have to go through anything like it again.

Thanks Valerie. I am glad I was able to make you think. I was too weak to stand in the shower for the full length of time I needed to. It’s strange how we take for granted the things that we don’t usually have to even think about doing. I usually shower every day and so it was scary to feel that my legs wouldn’t hold me up.

Take care and get well soon. 🙂 I think balance is key. The input should be as much as the output. So if writing is the output, then reading must be the input. I sometimes suffer myself from unbalanced situations and have begun to learn that we would write well if we read as much as we write.

Thanks. I think balance is sensible. Although I have to admit, even though I read more than I used to, I always prefer to write more than I like to read.
